7 Layer Bean Dip – Creative Homemaking

If you're looking for an easy-to-take appetizer at parties, family barbecues or meetings, then this 7-layer dip is exactly what you're looking for. It is really easy to do, and everyone will love it so much that they will ask you to do it again next time!

You will find many variations of this recipe, but here is the basic recipe.

7 Layer Bean Dip Recipe


1 large can of fried beans
1 packet taco seasoning mix *
16 ounces. sour cream carton
1 jar of salsa (16 oz)
Grated cheese
1 can of black olives (optional)
1 bunch of green onions (optional)


Spread the fried beans in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle taco seasoning mixture over fried beans. You can use a store-bought taco seasoning mix pack, or you can use my homemade taco seasoning mix recipe.

Pour the pot of salsa (about 2 cups) over the fried beans. If you want to and can make your own salsa, try my salsa recipe.
