Supplies needed

Contact paper roll
Autumn leaves
The scissors

This activity is very inexpensive. The only item you'll need to buy is contact paper, and you can pick it up for around $ 5 a roll. One roll will make many place mats.

Have your kids go out into the yard and pick up fall leaves. Have them look for a variety of colors and shapes. If the leaves are dry, you can use them immediately.

If they are wet, let them dry on a piece of newspaper before starting the craft project.

Before sitting down, the children should cut a few pieces of contact paper in the shape of place mats. I used the width of the contact paper for the width of the placemat, so I would only have to make a cut for each placemat.
