It turns out that the strawberry syrup is really easy to make and well worth it.

My whole family had the courage to try it on their French toast for dinner tonight, and they were not disappointed. I can't wait to try it on ice or in an Italian soda.

Strawberry syrup recipe

ingredients:

6 pints (12 cups) sliced ​​strawberries
7 c. sugar

This recipe makes about 3 pints or 6 half pints of strawberry syrup. You can easily double the recipe if you want to do more.

Place the sliced ​​strawberries in a blender and mix well. Place the mixed strawberries and sugar in a large saucepan.
