Trust me, you are going to give me a high-digital five after you put together a batch of these easy cherry brownies because they are absolutely delicious!
Cherry brownie recipe
I'm a big fan of brownies and easy bars. In fact, you will find many such recipes on my blog, including my amazing chocolate and raspberry bars, these classic kuchen cherry bars and my favorite fluffy pecan pie bars.
I love this type of takeout dessert recipe, especially during the holidays.
Growing up, my grandfather always had a store-bought cherry pie on hand. I'm pretty sure the cherry pie was his favorite dessert.
Needless to say, I have developed an affection for cherries and I like to use cherries in my recipes. If you like cherries, don't miss my nut and chocolate cookies and my cherry pie bars.
I wish he would always be with us to taste these delicious cherry brownies, as I am sure he would have loved them.
The good news about this recipe is that it is very easy to prepare thanks to the fact that you start with a mixture of canned brownies.
No sense playing with a good thing. Let's face it, canned brownies are pretty good when you don't have time to make your own homemade brownies.

No more brownies and decadent bars
For the brownie background:
1 can brownie mix (18.4 ounce)
Ingredients needed to prepare brownies according to the box using oil, eggs and water.
1 package 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
5 tablespoons softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 box of 21 ounces of cherry pie filling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare the brownies according to the directions on the box. Pour into the baking dish and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and beat until well blended. Beat the eggs, vanilla and flour until they are combined. Spoon onto the brownie mixture. Cut the mixes with a knife to create a marble pattern. Spread the cherry pie on top.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool completely.
