This chicken taco salad is really easy to prepare. All you need to cook ahead of time is the chicken. If you have leftover roasted chicken or other leftover chicken, this will work perfectly for this recipe. Otherwise, just fry a chicken breast or two.

This recipe makes 2 quart or 4 quart salad jars.

Chicken taco salad in a jar recipe


Romaine lettuce
2 c. ground chicken
1 tablespoon. taco seasoning mix *
Black olives
Chopped tomatoes
Black beans
Canned corn
Grated cheese
Onions, diced
Salsa or ranch dressing

* You can use a store bought taco seasoning mix or try my easy homemade taco seasoning mix.

To prepare the chicken, simply mix 1 tablespoon of ground chicken taco seasoning. (You can also replace the chicken with a minced hamburger if you wish).
