Crock Pot Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Recipe
With Easter just around the corner, I felt like it was the perfect time to share this recipe with all of you. Even though I like to make ham as part of our Easter dinner, this slow cooker ham is wonderful for any holiday or even as a regular Sunday dinner.
I always make this pot of brown sugar with pineapple and brown sugar when our extended family comes from out of town because it's delicious and hassle free.
There are several different versions of this brown sugar and pineapple ham on Pinterest, but this slow cooker recipe has long been one of my favorites. I love the sweet flavor that brown sugar, pineapple and maple syrup give to spirally cut ham.
If you don't have maple syrup on hand, you can certainly leave it aside.
The inclusion of pineapple chunks in this delicious family recipe is however very important. I love the flavor it adds to the ham and everyone likes to have some of these pineapple chunks on their plate to enjoy with every bite of ham.
I used a 6lb. Ham sliced in a spiral with bone for this brown sugar with brown sugar recipe, but you can certainly use any ham you prefer. Whether it is a sliced spiral or not, with or without bone, it's up to you! The important part is this delicious sauce created from pineapple, brown sugar and maple syrup. It is so delicious.
