My family really likes Hawaiian rolls, and I finally found a great recipe to try. I had never made homemade rolls before, but this recipe was really easy and the rolls turned out to be excellent! Another great thing about this is that you can freeze them and then cook them later.

Hawaiian Sweet Roll Recipe

1/4 tsp. Milk
1/4 tsp. melted butter
1/3 tsp. brown sugar
2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast (1 sachet)
1 can of crushed pineapple
2 eggs, beaten
4 c. bread flour *
1 C. salt

* Note: You can use all-purpose flour or bread flour for this recipe, but you will find that the bread flour will give you a better end product as it is specially designed for making breads and rolls made House.

Butter a large mixing bowl and set aside.

Heat the milk to 110 degrees. The milk should be very hot to the touch but not boiling. If the milk is too hot, it will kill the yeast.

Place the heated milk, melted butter, brown sugar and yeast in a blender with a dough hook. I used my Kitchen Aid blender and it worked very well. Mix the ingredients until homogeneous. Let the yeast mixture harden for about 7 minutes, or until the yeast begins to bubble.
