How to cook spaghetti in an instant pan

Easy instant spaghetti dinner in a jar

This is a really basic spaghetti recipe that you can write according to your preferences. Here is your grocery list:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb lean ground beef
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
12 oz. spaghetti noodles
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
3 cups of lukewarm water
1 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes (undrained)
2 tablespoons fresh basil (optional)
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

As for the cooking instructions, I have a few tips to make sure you end up with a delicious batch of Instant Pot spaghetti.

First, make sure to season your beef before cooking it and brown it well. This will enclose lots of delicious flavors.

Second, make sure that after breaking your pasta in half, you place it in the jar using a crisscross pattern. Even making two or three layers of noodles in opposite directions will really help prevent your pasta from sticking during cooking.

Finally, you need to make sure that your marinara is at room temperature and that you are using hot water. This will allow you to make sure that your Instant Pot doesn't have to work harder than it takes to get pressured. We cook pasta here, so timing is everything!

Of course, you'll also want to sprinkle a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese and lots of fresh basil to garnish this delicious Instant Pot spaghetti.

It’s amazing how fresh herbs can turn a family dinner recipe into something special.

Easy instant pot recipes

ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb lean ground beef

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

12 oz. spaghetti noodles

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

3 cups of lukewarm water

1 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes (undrained)

2 tablespoons fresh basil (optional)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Set the instant pot on blow; add olive oil to the jar. Season the ground beef with salt, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. When the pan is hot, add the ground beef and brown well until there is no more pink. When cooking is finished, press To cancel on your Instant pot.
Break your spaghetti noodles in half and layer them over the meat in a crisscross pattern to help prevent clumping and sticking. Cover with water, diced tomatoes and marinara sauce. Using a wooden spoon, gently press and stir (do not break the noodles) to make sure the pasta is well coated with liquid. Again, the cross layering of the pasta and this light agitation is just to ensure that the noodles are well coated with liquid, which will prevent the pasta from sticking together.
Replace the cover. Set the instant jar to seal and pressure cook sure high pressure for 8 minutes.
When cooking is finished, press To cancel and make a quick release on the instant pot. Toss the spaghetti. It will thicken as it cools. Serve immediately with parmesan and fresh basil!

Remarks

Using lukewarm or hot water will help your Instant Pot to build up pressure faster.
I did this using a 6 quart instant jar.
