Mom's Hot Dog Recipe
1 can Pillsbury bread sticks or croissant rolls
1 packet of hot dogs
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Remove the bread sticks or the croissant rolls from the packaging. If you are using crescent rollers, roll out the dough. Do not separate the triangles. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into 1 inch strips. If you are using bread stick dough, simply separate the bread sticks.
Wrap each hot dog starting at the top of the hot dog and wrapping the bread stick or the strip of bread dough crescent around the hot dog.
You should still be able to see the hot dog between the strips. You want the hot dog to look like it's wrapped in a bandage.
Make sure to leave a place for the "face" on the mummy, pushing a strip of dough slightly up or down, if necessary. These do not need to be perfect, they will become cute no matter how you wrap them The dough is very forgiving!
