I'm fairly new to making cheese dumplings, but I was really surprised at how easy they are to make! Last year I made this Thanksgiving cheeseball turkey, and it was adorable. This year, I decided to try making a ball of potato cheese.
Cheeseballs are really easy to make, but it takes two days to make them. You mix the ingredients on the first day (only takes about 10 minutes), then place the cheese mixture in the refrigerator to firm up before putting the finishing touches on your cheese ball.
You can use any cheeseball recipe to make these pine cone cheese balls, the pine cone part is just in the finishing touches. Here is my favorite cheese dumpling recipe that my family likes.
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 C. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. garlic powder
1 tablespoon. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. whole almonds
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated cheddar, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Taste the mixture to see if it needs more garlic or Worcestershire sauce.
Cream cheese will always be a little big. The best way to make a cheese ball is to wash your hands and put your hands in it to mix all the ingredients, kneading it with your hands until it is well mixed .
