Pumpkin Cheese Brownies – Creative Homemaking

This easy twist on traditional brownies is a great way to enjoy homemade brownies on a cool cool fall day. You can use a brownie mix or your favorite brownie recipe, or use my easy homemade brownie mix. I got my inspiration for this recipe here.

Pumpkin Cake Brownies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare your brownie dough according to your favorite recipe or according to the instructions on the packaging.

Cheesecake filling

3 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp. canned pumpkin puree
1 large egg
3 tablespoons. sugar
1 C. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

In a medium bowl, mix the ingredients for the filling and mix until smooth.

Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the brownie batter and spread it with a spoon as best as you can.

Pour the rest of the brownie batter over the pumpkin mixture. Take a butter knife and swirl it in the dough to give it a mottled appearance.

It doesn't need to be perfect, it will look good after cooking. (If you use my mixture of brownies, the dough is very thick and difficult to spread. I just put spoonfuls of dough on the pumpkin mixture and spread it out as best as I could and it s & # 39; is still revealed perfect).
