Valentine's Day Candlesticks – Creative Household

These Mason jar candle holders for Valentine's Day are really easy to make. All you need is a few simple things you might already have around the house. These candle holders can also be easily personalized for any season or holiday.

Supplies needed:

Glass candle holders
Valentine tissue paper
Modge Podge
The scissors
Brush or sponge brush

These candle holders are fun and easy and you can have them made in less than an hour. You can use any type of votive glass candle holders for these. I bought mine at the Dollar Store.

Next, tear tissue paper into small pieces (about 1 inch or so). I found some pretty tissue paper for Valentine's Day at the Dollar Store.

For a candle holder, I tore all the tissue paper for the project. For another candle holder, I used scissors to cut out some of the heart shapes.

Lay down a few sheets of newspaper to protect your workspace. Paint a layer of Modge Podge (cutout) on your clean, dry candle holder.

Carefully place the pieces of tissue paper on the candle holder. Press them as you go. It is normal to overlap pieces of tissue paper. After covering the surface of the candle holder, apply another coat of Modge Podge.
